As a part of promoting income generative skills development courses among the women and adolescents, JSDA promoted Tailoring training program with 28 girls initially. Due to the existing social and traditional issues, most of the families do not send their girls to higher education after the completion of the schooling in their local villages.
These girls need to be kept morally strong and trained in such activities so that they can feel that they are capable in all aspects. Towards giving them a scope for economic independence through income generation programmes, JSDA has planned to give these girls training in Tailoring at their villages itself.
As a part of this JSDA purchased 7 tailoring machines and imparted trainings to the women and young girls. This training was taken up in Siddarampuram, Chandrayunipalli, Lingappagaripalli, Rasimpalli, and Marala villages In Bukkapatnam Mandal. Nearly 245 girls learnt the tailoring course and the Handi Crafts through this project. After eight months course 8 girls purchased own tailoring Machines and earning without dependency. Awareness
